To date, Helping Hands has installed over 200 safe, efficient wood-burning stoves and drinking water filters in homes in Patzún and neighboring villages.

Compared to an open fire, these stoves reduce the risk of burns, reduce the inhalation of fumes, require 80% less time and money to gather fuel, and reduce deforestation.

The water filters provide a lifetime of safe drinking water for a family.
